It is important to feed an adult Rottweiler twice a day, and puppies are fed more often, from five to three times a day to support their growth needs. Fresh water needs to be available 24 hours out of the day. Always let your dog have quiet time, uninterrupted by children or guests when they are enjoying a meal.

The most commonly known method is to feed commercial dog food. Even this can get confusing, between the various brands, types sold for the size of the dog, the age of the dog or even the condition of the dog. Probably the most important thing to know is how to read the ingredients on the label of dog food, how to interpret them and how to pick the best kind.
